12th Annual Owl Club Silent Auction Raises Record Amount

PHILADELPHIA – On Saturday, March 7, the Temple Owl Club reached a new record for donations through the 12th Annual Owl Club Silent Auction. A combination of dedicated volunteers, over 80 items donated and a sellout crowd for the Temple Men's Basketball game against the UConn Huskies contributed to a little over $32,000 raised from the event, which will directly benefit Temple student-athletes.
Temple Owl Club Executive Board members Bill Barnes and Ed Magil co-chaired this event. "It was a great day where our alumni and fans were treated to some of the most unique Temple experiences and items ever seen, and we were able to raise much needed funds for all of our intercollegiate athletic teams. The success of this year's auction added to the excitement of a big win," said Barnes.
"We sincerely thank our exceptional volunteers and fans for making this event a huge success," said Associate Vice President and Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director, Mark Ingram. "The participation in Saturday's auction is another example of Temple's continued progress."
A live auction will be held at the 30th Annual Athletics Golf Classic on May 18, 2015 at the Philmont Country Club in Huntingdon Valley. Please click here to register for this event.
