Men's Tennis Drops Saturday Doubleheader

PHILADELPHIA- In a Saturday doubleheader, the Owls dropped matches to #61 Penn and Georgetown. In their first match of the day, the Owls fell to crosstown rival Penn, 5-0. This season, the Owls were 2-3 against City Six schools.

In the only doubles set of the match, Ian Glessing and Maros Januvka were defeated by Austin Kaplan and Thomas Spratt, 6-1, 6-3. The Quakers dominated singles play, as they took each flight in straight-set victories.
 
In the second match, the Owls dropped to Georgetown, 5-2. Glessing and Jankuva fought hard in the doubles match against John Brosens and Jordan Portner, 7-6, 5-7, 10-7. 
 
Nicolas Paulus picked up a victory for Temple at the second flight against Marco Lam, 6-4, 6-4 and Filip Stipcic defeated Andrew Dottino at the sixth flight, 7-6, 6-4.
 
The Owls (9-8, 0-2 The American) will face Lehigh at Legacy Tennis Courts at 4 p.m. on March 24.
