Lacrosse Will Honor Four Seniors on Wednesday Before Hosting Villanova

PHILADELPHIA - Four lacrosse seniors will be honored on Wednesday prior to Temple's game against city and BIG EAST rival Villanova at 3:00 p.m. It is the last home game of the 2015 season for the Owls, who will celebrate the careers of Carli Fitzgerald, Rachel Hall, Macie Hauck and Molly Seefried.

Temple is 9-4 overall and 1-3 in the BIG EAST after an 11-7 win vs. Marquette on April 11. The Owls are looking to keep that momentum going in order to earn one of four berths in the BIG EAST Tournament at the end of the month. Villanova is 7-6 overall and 2-2 in conference play, coming off back-to-back losses to Georgetown and #8 Florida. Leading Temple offensively this season is junior Nicole Tiernan, a two-time BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week, with 32 goals. Her 2.46 goals per game rank third in the conference, while her 13 free position goals rank first. Freshman Nicole Barretta has scored 14 goals, and junior Rachel Schwaab leads Temple with 10 assists. Junior Summer Jaros has 32 draw controls to lead the team and rank fifth in the BIG EAST.

#12 Carli Fitzgerald
Carli has played in 25 games in her Temple career, and has started in seven games so far in her senior season. Carli is a leader for the Owls on defense, and serves as one of the team's co-captains this season. Carli has twice been named to Temple's Director's Honor Roll for having a GPA above 3.0. She is a therapeutic recreation major from Abington, Pa., and is the daughter of Mary Ellen and Paul.

#16 Rachel Hall
Rachel has played in 18 games as a goalkeeper for Temple, starting in six games as a junior. She recorded a win against Oregon last season, and made a pair of saves for the Owls in a recent game at UConn. In each of the last two seasons, Rachel has been named to Temple's President's Honor Roll for having a GPA above 3.5. Rachel is a criminal justice major from Mullica Hill, N.J., and is the daughter of Kathy and Michael.

#13 Macie Hauck
Macie has played in 35 games in her Temple career, scoring 12 goals and adding four assists. This season she has scored six goals, including two in a win vs. Lafayette. Macie has been named to Temple's Director's Honor Roll every year for having a GPA of 3.0 or above. She is a criminal justice major from Hatfield, Pa., and is the daughter of Bonnie and John. Also escorting Macie on Senior Day will be her aunt, Linda.

#10 Molly Seefried
Molly has been forced to miss her senior season due to injury, but was voted as a co-captain by the team and played an integral role on the field in her first three years. Molly was an All-Rookie selection in the Atlantic 10 as a freshman, and scored a total of 10 goals while also recording four assists for the Owls over her three years in action. She started in all 16 games as a junior, and ranked second on the team with 23 ground balls. In her three years at Temple, Molly has twice been named to the Temple Director's Honor Roll and once to the President's Honor Roll. She is a kinesiology major from Abington, Pa., and is the daughter of Mary Jane and Bill.
