PHILADELPHIA – Meghan Millar has joined the Temple staff as the Director of Ticket Operations. A veteran of a pair of Division-I athletic institutions, Millar comes to the Owls from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticketing.
"We're very excited to have Meghan join our team," said Scott Walcoff, Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Sales. "She is highly respected within the ticketing industry and brings a great deal of knowledge and expertise to Temple. Meghan will play a big role in continuing to increase our customer service efforts, as well as provide our season ticket holders and fans with a seamless ticket buying experience and the most up-to-date ticket buying features."
Millar spent six years at VCU as the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticketing. In her role, she oversaw all ticketing and sales efforts for all VCU Athletic events and Siegel Center Special events. Millar was responsible for directing ticketing strategy and operations for VCU men's basketball, specifically focusing on inventory management to maintain the VCU Basketball four-year sell out streak at the Stuart C. Siegel Center.
As part of her responsibilities at VCU, she also handled the season ticket allocation for men's basketball and group sales efforts for all VCU Athletic events, collaborating with the marketing staff to develop and implement sales and promotion strategies.
"I could not be more excited to join the Temple University community as part of Temple athletics with Dr. Pat Kraft and his talented team," said Millar. "Having the opportunity to join an athletics department with Temple's rich tradition makes me eager to get started and help continue the program's success."
Prior to joining the VCU Athletic Department, Millar served as the Ticket Manager at George Mason University for three years after graduation. She also has event management experience, twice serving as the on-site account manager for Ridgewells Catering at the U.S. Open Golf Championships.
A native of Kearny, N.J., Millar is a graduate of George Mason University with a degree in marketing. During her time at Mason, she was a four-year student-athlete for the women's cross country and track & field teams.
