Women’s Tennis Opens Fall Tournament Play at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Temple women's tennis team began their fall tournament schedule with the opening day of the Princeton Invitational on Friday.
The Owls faced off against Syracuse and city rival Penn in doubles. Juniors Dina Karina and Mariana Bedon were the only Temple duo to pick up a win at the second flight against Syracuse's Olivia Messineo and Ester Mesh.
In singles play, Temple was swept by host-team Princeton. Bedon forced a tie-breaker at the fourth flight, but ultimately dropped 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 to Sivan Krems.
The ladies will be back in action tomorrow against Princeton in doubles and Syracuse in singles.
