- For her impressive performances at the Penn State Invitational last weekend, junior Alexandra Keft
has been named to the Primetime Performers Weekly Honor Roll by College Fencing 360.
Keft went 11-1 for the epee squad at the meet, and was a key leader for the 10th-ranked Owls as they finished 4-1, highlighted by an 18–9 win over #8 Penn State and and a 20–7 victory vs. UNC. Temple's only loss came against #2 Columbia by a narrow margin of 15-12. Keft helped the epee squad go undefeated at 5-0, including a win against #2 Columbia.
Against #8 Penn State, Keft won 5-3 against All-American Jessie Radanovich, 5-1 vs. senior Jessica O'Neill-Lyublinsky (a 2014 NCAA entrant) and 5-3 vs. top newcomer Anastasia Kolonji. In the win against Columbia, Keft won 5-4 vs. All-American Mason Speta, also winning 5-2 vs. 2015 NCAA entrant Katie Angen and 5-0 against Audrey Yun. She added a sweep of Yale and won her lone bout vs. UNC, with her only loss of the day coming 5-1 vs. Haverford's Julie Peterson.
