– The Temple Owls will serve as host of the 2016 BIG EAST Field Hockey Championship presented by Jeep, set for Nov. 4-6 at Howarth Field at the Temple Sports Complex, located in Philadelphia. Tickets to see the four-team field battle for the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament are now available for purchase.
Ticket prices per day are $7 for adults (age 13 and over) and $5 for those 12 and under. All session tickets are also available at $12 while groups of 10 or more can buy advanced single-game tickets at $5 each. Teams that finish in the top four in the BIG EAST regular-season standings, based on winning percentage, will qualify for the conference tournament. Conference leader No. 3 Connecticut and league-newcomer Liberty are the only two teams to have clinched spots so far in the BIG EAST Championship field. Old Dominion, Providence, Quinnipiac and host Temple are all battling for the last two spots in the final weekend of the regular season.
Semifinal games, which will stream live on the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN), are set for 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. (ET) on Friday, Nov. 4. Having secured the top seed in the tournament, No.3 UConn is set to play the fourth seed in the first semifinal game at 1 p.m. The semifinal winners will advance to the final on Sunday, Nov. 6, which will also stream on BEDN. The BIG EAST title game is set for 1 p.m. (ET).
