Asci Gets Second-Straight American Honor Roll Nod

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- For the second week in a row, Temple volleyball's Irem Asci earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference Weejly Honor Roll. The junior led the Owls to a pair of thrilling 3-2 road victories with two career-best performances.

In two matches, Asci averaged a double-double of 25.5 kills and 13.5 digs, as Temple topped UConn and Memphis on the road. Opening the week at UConn, the outside hitter racked up a career-best 28 kills, including the 1,000th of her career, as Temple handed the Huskies their first American Athletic Conference loss of the season. On Sunday, Asci recorded her third-straight 20+ kill performance, putting up 23 kills and also adding a career-high 22 digs to lead the Owls to a 3-2 comeback victory at Memphis.

For the week, Asci averaged 5.10 kills and 2.70 digs per set, also tallying four total aces. Overall, she ranked 20th in the nation in kills per set (4.45) and second in The American.
