Henry Burris Named Grey Cup MVP

12.2.16 | Football

Former Temple Owls' QB Henry Burris led the Ottawa Redblacks to a 39-33 upset victory in the 104th Grey Cup Championship of the Canadian Football League.

The 41-year old Burris earned MVP honors, his second, after throwing for 461 yards on 35 completions and accounting for five touchdowns.

Temple is now the only institution in the country to have a player participate for the championship team in the Grey Cup, Super Bowl (Denver Broncos' K Brandon McManus), and Arena Bowl (Philadelphia Soul OL Wayne Tribue).
