Former Owl Roger Chanoine Passes

Roger Chanoine, a Temple offensive lineman from 1994-97, has passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 39.
The Linden, N.J. native was a three-year starter for the Owls under head coach Ron Dickerson. Chanoine broke into the NFL with the St. Louis Rams in 1998. He was then selected by Cleveland and played in 33 games, starting 18, for the Browns from 1999-2002. He also spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
After football, Chanoine remained an engaged member in the Cleveland community, most recently as a sales manager at the Broadview Heights-based Konica Minolta Business Solutions.
Chanoine is survived by his wife, Yolanda, and five children: Zihane L. 16, Zanay L. 16, Isaiah 8, Imani 5, and Isaac 3.
