Vineet Naran Represents Temple at the White House
1.6.17 | Men's Tennis, Outreach
Temple men's tennis student-athlete Vineet Naran had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent Temple University at the White House on Thursday.
Naran spoke as a panelist at the It's On Us Summit, as part of the It's On Us initiative created by the White House Council on Women and Girls to raise awareness and fight against sexual assault on college campuses for both men and women. This campaign urges the public stand up against sexual assault and step away from the sidelines to be an active part of the solution.
Naran's panels included "It's On Us Communities: Pennsylvania," moderated by Andrea Mead, Chief of Staff to the First Lady, Office of the Governor of Pennsylvania and "Changing the Culture Through Sports," moderated by Neil Irvin, Executive Director Men Can Stop Rape. Vice President Joe Biden also made a surprise guest appearance to speak to the attendees.
