PHILADELPHIA – On Monday, Philadelphia Soccer Six released its weekly awards for the week of Oct. 9, naming redshirt senior Mark Grasela
and freshman Alan Camacho Soto
Player and Rookie of the week, respectively. Soccer Six highlighted the duo's efforts in last week's 4-0 shutout over Drexel.
Grasela scored a pair of goals on Tuesday as the Owls put away Drexel, 4-0. In the 21st minute of the game, Grasela slid a shot into the net through a clump of Drexel defenders, giving Temple a 2-0 lead early on. After they added a third, the Owls' fourth and final goal of the night also came courtesy of Grasela in the 66th minute, whose goal was the third of his season and his career.
Within 12 seconds of the opening kick, reigning Soccer Six and American Athletic Conference Player and Rookie of the Week Alan Camacho Soto
capitalized on a Drexel turnover and fired a shot into the net off the left post. Camacho Soto's fourth goal of the season gave Temple an early lead and ultimately stood up as the game-winner.
