-- The Temple volleyball team racked up a season-high 95 digs, en route to a 3-1 win over visiting Tulsa on Friday night. The Owls moved to 11-6 overall, 7-2 in conference play with a 22-25, 25-14, 27-25, 25-16 victory over the Golden Hurricane (9-12, 3-6) on the Temple's annual "Hawaiian Night."
KEYS TO THE MATCH
> Temple rallied past a slow opening set that saw the team hit just .109, totaling nine errors.
> The Owls' made adjustments, recording just seven errors in the final three sets combined.
> The hosts racked up a season-high 95 total digs, the most for the Owls since 11/26/2015.
> Temple held Tulsa to a .151 attack, while hitting .285.
> Three players tallied double-doubles in the match -- seniors Kyra Coundourides
and Izzy Rapacz

> Coundourides finished just three kills shy of her first ever triple-double, tallying 46 assists with 19 digs and seven kills (without an error).

SET ONE: Tulsa 25, Temple 22
> Tulsa took an early 5-2 lead in the opening frame and did not relinquish the advantage.
> The Golden Hurricane led by as as many as six, before a late Temple run.
> The Owls closed the gap to 23-21, but despite spoiling set point, Tulsa finished out the 25-22 win.
SET TWO: Temple 25, Tulsa 14
> The Owls swung the momentum in the second frame, hitting .314 to Tulsa's .029.
> Temple took control of a one-point match with an 8-1 run that put the cherry and white up 20-11.
> Tulsa got back-to-back points, before Temple ended it on a 5-1 surge.
SET THREE: Temple 27, Tulsa 25
> The pivotal third set featured 11 ties and three lead changes, but Temple's .404 attack gave the Owls the edge at the end.
> Midway through the action, four unanswerd Temple points put the Owls up 16-11.
> Tulsa countered with a 7-1 run to take an 18-17 advantage.
> From there, both teams began a long streak of sideouts with ties at 19, 20, 21, and 22.
> Temple had set point at 24-22, but Tulsa rallied to tie it at 24-24.
> The Owls then closed it with three of the final four points, including kills from Papazoglou and Deak, and a block from Coundourides and Simmons that dropped for the set-winner.
SET FOUR: Temple 25, Tulsa 16
> Temple closed out the final frame hitting .324 with 13 kills and just one error.
> A 6-0 Owls' run broke a 2-2 tie that gave Temple the lead for good.
> The hosts' advantage ballooned to as many as eight points, before a small Tulsa surge cut it to six.
> Temple then closed out the set and match with a Guennewig ace and a Simmons cross-court winner.
> Temple host SMU on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
