Golf Places 19th at Visit Stockton Pacific Invite

STOCKTON, Calif. – Three Temple golfers carded two-over 74s and the Owls placed 19th overall among the 20 competing teams at the Visit Stockton Pacific. Invite.  The three-day tournament was held at the par-72, 7,082-yard The Reserve at Spanos Park Golf Course.

Keys to the Match
> Redshirt junior John Barone, who had one of the 74s in the final round Saturday, led the Cherry and White and tied for 51st overall among the 112 golfers with a six-over 220.
> Junior Trey Wren, who also shot 74 Saturday, was three strokes back of Barone and tied for 72nd overall with a 223.
> Junior Sam Soeth, who had the third 74, was four shots behind Wren and tied for 89th with a 227.
> Freshmen Liam McGrath and Dawson Anders rounded out the squad with 231s and tied for 99th.

Tournament Notes
> Santa Clara (834) won the tournament, defeating BYU (838) by four strokes.  
> BYU's Patrick Fishburn won the individual title with a 13-under 203.  Fishburn shot a blistering seven-under 65 on Saturday's final round.
