Q: Ted, what made you first join the Owl Club?

A: I'm trying to think back to when that was.. it's been a few years.  Well, there's a couple things: one was John Chaney, what he stood for, what he represented.  He stood up for the right things & he always worked very hard. He gave players great opportunities.  Second was Al Golden, when he first came to Temple Athletics it showed me that Temple was serious about building a program and I bought in.

Q: Why do you give back to Temple Athletics?

A: I give because it's an opportunity to support something I believe in - athletics.  I love athletics and I love the direction of the program including the academic progress.  My favorite image of Temple Athletics is seeing our student-athletes in their cap & gowns graduating.

Q: What's your favorite Temple memory?

A: It would probably be the Notre Dame game in 2015 coupled with College GameDay.  That really highlighted what college football was all about. To have Temple playing on the home field - no question, that was the highlight.  It represented all we've become and where we're going.

Q: How do you stay involved with Temple Athletics outside of giving to the Owl Club?

A: Through season tickets, for a long time.  Through monthly luncheons, hearing Temple Athletics' representatives come.  As well as communicating via the Facebook fan page for football and tailgating pregame.

Q: What made you choose Temple University?

A: I had actually gone to a small school in Minnesota to start - but it was too small.  My background was in Sociology, the price was right, and when I started to come to Temple, it was just the greatest thing.  The diversity, the urban environment, it's the best.  I think it's the greatest thing in the whole world - the diversity of our faculty, the student body, and the environment.  Oh, man, that is the best.  That diversity inspired a lot of what our tailgates were about  - our tailgates brought diverse people from all over together around Owls Football.
