Temple Fencing Will Send the Maximum 12 to NCAA Regionals

PHILADELPHIA - The seventh-ranked Temple fencing team will be well-represented at this weekend's NCAA Mid-Atlantic South Regional, with the maximum 12 fencers competing for the Owls. All 15 team members met the NCAA criteria and were eligible for the meet, but only 12 per team are permitted to compete.

Representing the epee squad will be senior Alexandra Keft, junior Safa Ibrahim and sophomores Quinn Duwelius and Ally Micek.

The foil squad will be represented by senior Kristen Kemnitzer, sophomore Auset Muhammad and freshman Kennedy Lovelace.

For the sabre squad, senior Victoria Suber will compete along with sophomores Blessing Olaode and Jessica Rockford and freshmen Malia Hee and Kerry Plunkett.

The NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional is being hosted by Lafayette College in Easton, Pa.

The Owls are coming off their 21st straight NIWFA title this past weekend, where they earned five All-NIWFA honors. Temple recently defeated #1 Princeton and #4 Penn at its own Temple Invitational on Feb. 26. The updated CollegeFencing360 Coaches Poll is expected to be released this week.

Check back to later in the week for a full preview of the regional meet.
