Women's Tennis Sweeps Binghamton, 7-0

PHILADELPHIA – In a Friday-afternoon dual, Temple women's tennis was able to pick up their 11th win for its 2017 season with a 7-0 defeat of Binghamton at the TU Pavilion. Alina Abdurakhimova posted big wins in both doubles and singles to lead the Owls to secure the victory.
Abdurakhimova and partner Yana Khon headed the doubles play with a 6-2 victory over Binghamton's pair Annie DiMuro and Samara Eisenberg. Anais Nussaume and Dina Karina added a second win the second position before Galina Chernykh and Mariana Bedon posted a final match win.
Abdurakhimova led off singles play in the first position with a dominant win over Binghamton's DiMuro. Chernykh followed up with her singles victory over Samara Eisenberg. The Owls finished up singles play with wins from Bedon, Karina, Khon, and Nussaume to sweep the board.
The Owls will return to action tomorrow with a Saturday dual at TU Pavilion for senior day. The match is set to begin at 2:30 p.m.
