Men's Tennis Tops Lehigh on Senior Day

PHILADELPHIA – In its final home match of the 2017 season, Temple men's tennis posted a big 6-1 victory over Lehigh on Saturday afternoon. Honoring its two graduating seniors, the Owls were able to sweep doubles flights and take all but one singles flight.
Steady in the first doubles position, Artem Kapshuk and Thomas Sevel led off the day with a 6-3 victory over Mountain Hawks duo of Graham Lehman and Dylan Korchere-Sun. Vineet Naran and partner Florian Mayer were able to secure a final win for Naran's final appearance at the Pavilion over Lehigh's Ethan Bogard and Colin Nardela. Uladzimir Dorash and Francisco Bohorquez and Filip Stipcic and Eric Biscoveanu were also able to add wins to close out doubles play.
In some tight singles flights, Kapshuk, Sevel, Dorash, Bohorquez and Biscoveanu all pulled through for wins and secured the 6-1 win for the Owls.
The Owls have completed their regular season with an overall record of 17-9. The team now looks towards the American Athletic Conference tournament that is set to begin on Thursday, April 20. Seeding information will be posted following the conclusion of this weekends play.
