Golf Places 12th at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – Sophomore Trey Wren posted his fourth Top 20 finish of the season to lead Temple Golf to 12th place among the 14-team field at the Princeton Invitational.  Wren carded a five-over 218 for the three-round event held at the 6,414-yard, par-71 Springdale Golf Club to tie for 16th overall among the 75 golfers in the competition.

Redshirt freshman Erik Reisner had his best day as a collegiate golfer Sunday, carding an even-par 71 to lead the Owls for the final round.  Reisner was fourth overall for Temple and tied for 61st with a 230.  Redshirt sophomore John Barone matched Wren with a four-over 75 Sunday and was second overall for the Cherry and White with a 13-over 226 to tie for 48th.  Sophomore Gary McCabe was third for Temple and tied for 54th overall with a 14-over 227.  Junior Bobby Firth (83-78-76, 237) rounded out the Owls squad in 69th.

Seton Hall (853) shot an eight-under 276 on the final day to win the team title by five shots over Harvard (858). The Pirates' Lloyd Jefferson Go won medalist honors with a nine-under 204.

The Owls next compete at the Wolfpack Spring Open on April 14-15.
