Women's Basketball Announces Full 2017-18 Schedule

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple women's basketball team announced its complete 2017-18 schedule, with the American Athletic Conference match-ups being finalized today. The Owls will open the conference season on the road at UCF on December 30. 

> The 12 members of The American will play a 16-game schedule in 2017-18.
> With the addition of Wichita State, each team will play five of its 11 opponents twice.
> The teams will play six opponents once each – three at home and three away.

> Temple will play UCF, Cincinnati, UConn, USF, and SMU both home and away this season.
> The Owls play Houston, Memphis, and Tulsa only at home.
> Temple opens the home portion of the conference schedule on January 7 against SMU on ESPNU.
> The Owls square off against UConn in McGonigle Hall on January 21 on ESPN2.
> Temple's annual "School Day" game will be February 21 against Cincinnati in the Liacouras Center.

> The Owls will face East Carolina, Tulane, and Wichita State on the road only this season.
> Temple opens its road conference schedule on December 30 at UCF.
> The Owls will travel to the XL Center in Hartford on February 18 to take on UConn.

> The 2018 American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championship will take place March 3-6 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
> In the 12-team bracket, the top four seeds get a bye, while seeds 5-12 will play a first round game.
> ESPN networks will provide live coverage of every game of the tournament. 

> Temple has 13 games on the conference's national TV schedule.
> The Owls will appear on ESPN2 once, ESPNU twice, and ESPN3 seven times.
> Temple has a pair of games on CBS Sports Network (2/18 at UConn; 2/26 vs. Memphis).
> The American Digital Network will broadcast the Owls' February 10 game at home against UCF.

> Six American teams made postseason play in 2016-17, with Temple, UConn, and USF earning NCAA bids.
> UConn won an NCAA record 111 consecutive games and advanced to its 10th straight Final Four.
> Wichita State joined the conference as a full member on July 1.
