Men's Tennis Opens Temple Invite with Strong Performance

PHILADELPHIA— Temple men's tennis performed well in the opening day of the Temple Invite. The team hosted Morgan State at the TU Pavilion for their first matches of the tournament. Day one consisted of a round of doubles followed by a round of singles.
Notes
> Alberto Caceres Casas and Mark Wallner had great success on the day, as a pair and individually. The tandem defeated Ramakrishan/Kharchev of Morgan State 8-2. Casas emerged victorious over Oguzhan Ceylan 6-1, 6-2 while Wallner downed Arjun Ramakrishnan 6-1, 6-1.
> The duo of Paolo Cucalon and Uladzimir Dorash also notched a win for the Owls. Cucalon/Dorash topped Rawal/Gupta 8-5.
> Cucalon and Eric Biscoveanu also came away with victories in singles. Cucalon defeated Nihit Rawal 6-4, 7-5 while Biscoveanu handled Sebastian Lopez 6-1, 6-3.
