Casas and Wallner Advance to Doubles Semifinals at ITA Atlantic Regionals

BLACKSBURG, Va. — Temple men's tennis continued play at the ITA Atlantic Regionals Championships on Saturday. The tournament is hosted by Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. and features the top men's players in the Atlantic region. Saturday consisted of the round of 64 and round of 32 singles and doubles quarterfinals.

> Temple is represented by Alberto Caceres Casas, Paolo Cucalon, Uladzimir Dorash and Mark Wallner at the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships.
> The pair of Casas/Wallner earned a victory in doubles quarterfinals Saturday to advance to Sunday's semifinal round. Casas/Wallner defeated Liberty's Muamba/Wilson 8-6.
> Wallner and Dorash competed in the round of 64 singles for the Owls. Wallner took on VCU's Javier Armategui, downing the Ram 6-3, 6-1. Dorash battled ODU's Aziz Kijamehovic, but he was edged by the Monarch, 6-2, 6-2.
> Wallner continued on to the round of 32 singles. He took the first set against Virginia Tech's Alex Ribeiro, but the Hokie rallied to take the decision, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.

Next Up
> The Owls will continue competition at the ITA Atlantic Regionals on Sunday, Oct. 20. Day three will feature the round of 16 and quarterfinals for singles and doubles semifinals.
