PHILADELPHIA- On Tuesday night, Temple RB Paul Palmer, who played from 1983-1986, was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Palmer and the rest of the Class of 2018 came together at the Hilton Midtown New York for the 61st National Football Foundation (NFF) Annual Awards Dinner.

He also had 6,613 all-purpose yards which is a Temple record. Palmer finished second in the 1986 Heisman Trophy and Maxwell Award voting. Palmer led the nation with 1,866 yards and 15 touchdowns in 1986 and was selected in the first round of the 1987 NFL Draft. Palmer now does color commentary on the radio for Temple Football games.
A packed house of 1,600, including more than 80 current collegiate head coaches and 40 returning Hall of Famers attended the event. ESPN's Joe Tessitore, the voice of "Monday Night Football," entertained the crowd as the emcee for the annual celebration, which lived up to its historic role of bringing the college football community together at the end of the regular season to pay tribute to the game and its greatest legends.
