– For the second-straight season, the Temple gymnastics team will be represented at the NCAA Regionals. Senior Sahara Gipson
and sophomore Jaylene Everett
have earned specialist spots to compete in vault at the University Park Regional at Penn State on Saturday, April 7. In addition, freshman Tori Edwards
is the alternate for the floor specialist spot.
> This is the first time in Temple history that the Owls will have two specialists competing at the NCAA Regional..
> Gipson and Everett become the ninth and tenth Owls in program history to qualify for regionals, and the third and fourth gymnasts to qualify as specialists.

> She has not had a vault below 9.8 since the third week of the season, and has recorded eight-straight 9.8's or better.
> Everett recorded a season and career high 9.875 on vault on March 9.
> She has had four vaults reach 9.8 or higher this season.
> Edwards posted a career high 9.9 on floor on March 9.
> She has had nine floor routines score a 9.8 or higher in 2018.
> The vault winner at the NCAA Regional will advance to the NCAA Semifinals on April 20 in St. Louis.
