PHILADELPHIA - The men's tennis team bounced back in a major way Sunday evening after falling to No. 17 Memphis on the road a day before. Led by senior Thomas Sevel
, who was honored before the match as part of this season's Senior Day festivities, the Owls did not drop a single set in the match and cruised to a 7-0 victory over visiting Fairleigh Dickinson.
"It was a great day today for the men's tennis team," said head coach Steve Mauro
. "It was Senior Day for Thomas Sevel
. I'm really happy with the way he has played for us and am proud to have him on the team. He's been a great player for us and helped us get to the next level."
The Owls (12-9) will travel to Dallas on Tuesday for the American Athletic Conference Championship at Southern Methodist University. Opponents and seeding will be announced tomorrow afternoon.
