Football Adds Graduate Transfer Rodney Williams

PHILADELPHIA- Temple Football has added former Syracuse safety Rodney Williams as a graduate transfer for the 2018 season. Williams will be eligible to play for the team this upcoming year.
As a safety for the Orange, Williams posted 125 tackles and had six career passes defended, including two interceptions. The three-year letterwinner played in 33 games and started in 21 while having 10 games with 5+ tackles the past two seasons. Williams was also named to the 2017 All-ACC Academic Football Team and was a member of the Syracuse Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
The Cherry Hill, N.J., native was a local standout in high school as he was a quarterback and safety at Cherry Hill West High. The three-year captain was a 2012 and 2013 All-South Jersey first-team selection.
