PHILADELPHIA – Patricia Albright, who served as a senior administrative assistant in the Temple University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics since 2009, passed away on July 5 following a long bout with cancer. She was 66.

," said Director of Athletics Dr. Patrick Kraft
. "Pat was a wonderful woman, a loving wife and mother and someone who genuinely cared for people. She touched so many lives here at Temple and everywhere she went. My thoughts and prayers are with her husband Joe, her daughter Tiffany and her entire family. She will be deeply missed."
Ms. Albright began her employment at Temple University in 2003, first working as the Executive Assistant for the Executive Director of Partnership Schools and later as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of International Affairs before moving to athletics. For 25 years before arriving on North Broad Street, Ms. Albright worked at Morgan Stanley, supporting the operations manager and four financial specialists on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange.
In her role within athletics, Ms. Albright worked closely with the Director of Athletics, coordinating his schedule as well as working with him on various projects and correspondence.
"Pat was the glue that kept things going," said Kraft. "She just had a wonderful way about her and treated everyone in the same caring fashion. Our staff is truly heartbroken with the news of her passing."
Besides her husband and daughter, Ms. Albright (nee Walsh) is survived by her brother Thomas and wife Marianne Walsh, along with many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Friday, July 13 at 10 a.m. at Calvary Chapel, located at 13500 Philmont Ave., Philadelphia, with the funeral service beginning at 11:30 a.m.
