Men's Soccer Announces Three Additions

PHILADELPHIA — Temple men's soccer coach Brian Rowland announced today the addition of three student-athletes to the squad, joining an already outstanding 2018 signing class. These new additions make for a 19 member class, consisting of nine incoming freshmen and 10 transfer student-athletes under the Owls' first-year head coach.
Pierre Cayet (6-0, 170, Sophomore, D, Brettes-les-Pins, France/Université catholique de l'ouest)
Played for French Ligue 1 club, Angers, where he started nine out of 11 games • Played for the Université catholique de l'ouest where he spent his 2017-2018 season.
Why he chose Temple: "The coaching staff, and getting to go to school in a city like Philadelphia."
Coach Rowland Quote: "We are very excited to welcome Pierre to Temple. He comes to us from the French Ligue 1 club, Angers, and will add quality to our back line in both defending and attacking. Pierre is a competitive defender, with very good technique and passing ability. We expect Pierre to have an immediate impact in our team this season."
Akeem Prawl (6-0, Junior, D, Kingston, Jamaica/Trinidad State)
Was a member of the 2015 Flow Super Cup championship winning team • Competed with the All Region Team TSJC in 2016 and 2017 • Was a member of the All National Team TSJC in 2016.
Why he chose Temple: "The education they offer and Philadelphia is a lovely city."
Coach Rowland Quote: "Akeem is an exciting and dynamic player that will bring a lot of passion and energy to our team. Akeem has spent 2 years at the highly successful junior college, Trinidad State, where he has been a key member of their back line. We are excited to incorporate Akeem with our group and help to develop his game further. We expect Akeem to be a key defender for Temple Soccer the next 2 seasons."
Leandros Lillis (5-6, 160, Junior, M, Larnaca, Cyprus/University of Central Lancashire Cyprus)
Made over 30 appearances in the first division of Cyprus with Alki Larnaca, making it to the first team at the age of 15 • Tallied five goals and seven assists with Alki Larnaca • Played six games with AEL Limassol, a major team in Cyprus • Played with Ermis Aradippous for three seasons, scoring twice and capturing eight assists in over 30 games • Was a member of U15, U17, U19 and U21 national teams, scoring three goals.
Why he chose Temple: "I chose Temple because of the great coaching staff, the great university education and the attractive style of play."
Coach Rowland Quote: "Leandros is a dynamic attacker who we are very happy to be adding to our team for this fall. He brings a wealth of experience at a very high level in his native Cyrpus. Leandros has been a key member of the youth national teams for Cyprus, and has also been a key leader within those teams. He is a driven and hardworking player, who possesses tremendous quality and skill in the attacking half of the field. His mentality and ability will be a perfect fit for our team."
