Men's Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

2.5.19 | Men's Soccer

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple University men's soccer squad will return to the pitch to face six teams this spring, as announced by head coach Brian Rowland on Tuesday afternoon. The Owls look to build off of a strong fall season in their first year under Rowland, and have added six exceptional additions to the roster this spring to help take the program to new heights.

"We have put together a very challenging spring schedule that will test our team and help us to continue to shape our identity," says Rowland. "The schedule allows us to play some of the top Division I programs in the region, and it will be a great opportunity to look at our squad in real game situations.  Our spring roster this year is extremely deep, and very competitive at each position, so game minutes will be key in both our team and individual development. We look forward to progressing our program and building upon the fall Season."

The Owls will debut their spring schedule on Saturday, Feb. 23 when they head to Penn State to take on the Nittany Lions at 3 p.m. Temple will only play one more game outside of Philadelphia this spring, when they face Loyola (MD) on March 30 at 6 p.m.

Three Sunday matches at the Temple Sports Complex will highlight the home stint for the Cherry and White this spring. The squad will debut on their home pitch on Sunday, March 24 for a double header against American and LaSalle, with kickoff set for 12 p.m. Two weeks later, the Owls will play host to George Mason on Saturday, April 6 at 4 p.m. Temple will wrap up its spring slate at Philadelphia Soccer Six foe Drexel on Sunday April 14, starting at 4 p.m.
