Men’s Tennis Advances to AAC Quarterfinals with Win over UConn

ORLANDO, Fla.— Temple men's tennis (15-6, 4-1 AAC) clinched a berth to the AAC quarterfinals with a 4-0 sweep of UConn on Thursday morning. The Owls have now won 10 straight matches and have advanced to the quarterfinals in back-to-back years.

> Temple was dominant in doubles play. At second doubles, Juan Araoz and Eric Biscoveanu downed their Huskies opponents, 6-1. In the No. 3 spot, Uladzimir Dorash and Paolo Cucalon came out on top, 6-2, to win the doubles point for the Owls.
> In singles, Araoz put Temple up 2-0 with a victory on court six and Mark Wallner increased the team's lead with a decisive win on court two.
> Dorash came out on top at fourth singles, 6-4, 6-1 to clinch the match and a berth to the AAC quarterfinals.
