Seniors to be Honored When Lacrosse Hosts ECU on Saturday

4.18.19 | Women's Lacrosse

PHILADELPHIA - There is plenty to celebrate at the final home game of the season for Temple Lacrosse. The Owls' four seniors will be honored for Senior Day prior to Temple's 1 p.m. game vs. ECU on Saturday, April 20, and the Owls' "adopted" sister Lily Adkins will be recognized for Friends of Jaclyn Day. Temple is 4-10 overall and 1-2 in American Athletic Conference play, while the Pirates are 5-10 overall and 0-3 in the league. Temple can clinch a berth in the AAC Tournament with a win.

Senior Day
> The Owls have four seniors in the Class of 2019: Quinn Benintende, Kelsea Hershey, Amber Lambeth and Molly Luderitz.
> Benintende is a marketing major from Kennett Square, Pa. Her role has been limited due to injuries, especially in her junior season, but she has scored six goals and added three assists for the Owls. Benintende has been named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in each year of her career for having a GPA of 3.0 or above.
> Hershey is a kinesiology major from Lititz, Pa. She has seen time in the cage in 20 games over the course of her career and has recorded four goalkeeping wins for the Owls. Hershey has twice been named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for her performance in the classroom.
> Lambeth is an adult and organizational development major from Harleysville, Pa. She has scored 56 goals and added 15 assists for the Owls in her four-year career, recording a total of nine hat tricks. She ranks second on the team this season in draw controls. Lambeth has been named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll ever year for having a GPA above a 3.0.
> Luderitz is an education major from Hershey, Pa. She has played in 28 games for the Owls and has reached double digits in caused turnovers for the past two seasons. Luderitz has stepped up her play in the backfield this year and is tied for the team lead in caused turnovers in American Athletic Conference games.

Four of six teams will advance to the AAC Tournament on May 2 & 4 at Cincinnati.
