PHILADELPHIA -- Temple men's crew saw the Bergen Cup racing cut short, as high winds canceled most of the Schuylkill River event. The Owls' lightweights were able to get both their races in against #9 Georgetown.

Bergen Cup
> Temple won the only official race in the Bergen Cup, the third varsity eight.
> The Owls topped boats from Drexel, SJU, and La Salle before the winds were deemed to bad to continue the event.

Lightweights
> Temple's lightweights withstood the bad weather, but fell in a pair of races to #9 Georgetown.
> The varsity eight fell 6:19.85 to 6:39.24 in the first race, which was smooth for the first 500, but near 20+ mph wins for the final 1,500.
> The second varsity boat also fell, 6:29.89 to 6:56.98.
