AAC Rowing Championships Moved to Friday

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's rowing team will compete at the 2019 American Athletic Conference Championships on Friday, May 17 beginning at 8 a.m. ET. Originally scheduled for Sunday, the Oklahoma City event was pushed up to Friday due to the threat of bad weather over the weekend.

Format
> Six races will be contested at the event -- V8, 2V8, V4, 3V8, 2V4, and 3V4.
> Temple will enter a boat in every event, with heats being run in the 
> The team will the most points in the NCAA events (V8, 2V8, V4) will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships. 
> Final team standings will be based on points earned during each event.

Temple History
> Temple's highest ever finish at the event is third -- a feat the Owls matched last season.
> Temple owns 12 total American Athletic Conference Championship medals, including a team-record four coming last season. 
> Last year's Owls took bronze in the second varsity eight, varsity four, third varsity eight, and second varsity four races.
