Volleyball Recognized Nationally for Academic Performance

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple volleyball team was once again recognized nationally for academics, as the Owls were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award list for the 2018 season. The award honors excellence in the classroom by recognizing teams that maintain at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA.
In addition to the Team Academic Award, the Owls earned special recognition to the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll, compiling one of the top 25 total team GPAs in all of NCAA Division I volleyball last season.

The Owls open the 2019 season on the road at the UMBC Tournament which runs from August 30 to Septemer 1 in Catonsville, Md. Temple first plays at home in the Hilton Penn's Landing Cherry and White Challenge on Friday, September 13.Â
