Football's Harrison Hand Earns AAC Defensive Player of the Week

9.16.19 | Football

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league's weekly football honors for the third week of the 2019 college football season. CB Harrison Hand earned defensive player of the week honors for his stingy defense in a 20-17 win over #21 Maryland.

Hand, a junior cornerback, had a team-high 10 tackles and an interception on Temple's first defensive drive of the contest. He dominated his side of the field, daring quarterbacks to make throws to his side and disrupting his match-ups when they attempt to catch the ball. Hand was also named national defensive player of the week by College Sports Madness.

WR Jadan Blue also made the AAC honor roll. He had five receptions for 132 yards and a 79-yard touchdown in the win.
