Fencing to Open 2020 at January NAC

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple fencing program will kick off 2020 in Charlotte, N.C. at the USA Fencing January North American Cup. This is the second NAC that the Owls will compete in, with Margherita Calderaro, Sarah Park, and Zoe Turner competing in the November NAC in Milwaukee, Wisc.
Competition will occur over three days beginning on Jan. 3 and concluding on Jan. 6. The foil squad will be the first to compete, with bouts set to begin at 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 3. The epee squad will compete on Jan. 4 beginning at 8 a.m. before the Temple has a break in competition the following day. The Owls will wrap up the NAC on Jan. 6 as the sabre squad is set to begin competition at 10 a.m.
Temple is off to a hot start for the 2019-20 season, going 7-2 in team competition and earning six podium finishes in individual competition.
