Women’s Tennis Opens Home Slate Against Drexel

PHILADELPHIA - Temple will host its first match of the year after two tough losses in Virginia. The Owls will host the Drexel Dragons on Wednesday, Jan 29th before heading off to Princeton on Sunday for a scrimmage.
The Match
> The match will take place at Legacy Tennis Center, where 9 of the Owls' 11 home matches will take place.
>Temple will play 4 straight official matches at Legacy, including their first American Conference matchup on February 14th.
The Owls
>Temple was swept by both ODU and VCU on Jan. 18th and 19th, respectively.
>The pairs of Stefaniya Surikova and Oleksandra Doroshenko and Oyku Boz and Yining Tian have each played other schools' top doubles flight well. Doroshenko and Surikova defeated their ODU doubles opponent on January 18th.
>Temple was 8-1 at home during the 18-19 season, including 6-1 at the Legacy Tennis Center.
>Last season, Temple defeated Drexel 6-1 at the TU Pavilion. Temple's women are 8-1 all-time against the Dragons.
