Men’s Basketball Hosts ECU Saturday Night

1.30.20 | Men's Basketball

PHILADELPHIA  – February has been winningest month for Temple men's basketball the last decade and the Owls are hoping that will continue into the 2020s starting with Saturday's night's home game against ECU.  Temple (10-10/2-6 AAC) is currently looking to snap a four-game skid against an ECU squad (9-12, 3-5) which has dropped four of its last five outings.

In the 2010s, Temple posted a 52-25 record (67.5%) for the month of February, the most wins in any month during the decade.

SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Temple, under the direction of first-year head coach Aaron McKie, sports a balanced attack with two players averaging double figures and another five averaging 5.0 points or more.
> Senior guard Quinton Rose leads Temple (3rd AAC) in scoring (15.4 ppg), assists (3.8 apg/9th AAC), steals (2.0 spg/t-3rd in AAC) and is one of only two players to rank in the Top 10 in the conference in these categories (Brandon Rachal, Tulsa).
> Junior guard Nate Pierre-Louis, who scored a career-high 22-points vs. Cincinnati, leads Temple in rebounding (8.3 rpg/5th AAC), while ranking second in scoring (11.1 ppg), assists (2.8 apg) and steals (2.0/5th AAC).
