HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Temple Golf first day at of their spring season was not a memorable one as the team struggled over the first two rounds of the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate Monday. Temple ended its 36 holes in 16th place in the 18-team field played at the 6,913-yard, par-72 course Arnold Palmer Signature Course – Wexford Plantation.

Recapping the Day

> Freshman Graham Chase had the best day for the Cherry and White, shooting a 73 for his morning round and a 74 in the afternoon for a three-over 147 to tie for 20th. He finished with a team-best seven birdies.

> Sophomore Conor McGrath was next for Temple, improving two strokes from his morning round (76) for a two-over 74 afternoon round. He is tied for 36th with a six-over 150.

> Junior Dawson Anders rebounded from an uncharacteristic 79 morning round by firing a 74 in the afternoon. His five birdies in round two lifted him to a 153 and tied for 58th.

> Seniors Aaron Tobin (163) and Liam McGrath (165) rounded out the starting five for Temple.

The Field

> Augusta (570) owns a two shot lead over Furman (572) after the first day of play. Davidson is in third, 11 shots back at 581.

> Augusta's Ben van Wyk leads the field with a seven-under 137. Alex Ross of Davidson is one shot back at 138.
