Women's Soccer Adds Seven to Incoming Class

PHILADELPHIA—Temple women’s soccer head coach Nick Bochette announced the addition of seven student-athletes, three transfers and four freshmen, to the team for the 2020 season. The Cherry and White will welcome Jillian Allgood, Kyla Burns, Teri Jackson, Brooke Kane, Emily Kavanaugh, Kamryn Stablein and Taylor Vecchione to its talented incoming class.

Jillian Allgood | Defense | Oklahoma City, Okla. | Putnam City North HS | OEFC DA
Jillian Allgood, a native of Oklahoma City, Okla., attends Putnam City North High School and plays club for Oklahoma Energy FC DA. In her high school career Allgood was a captain and varsity letter-winner for Putnam City North. As a freshman, she was named to the Big Ten All Star Second Team and earned First Team honors as a sophomore. Allgood is a defender on her DA team and actively involved in numerous organizations and activities. She is a four-year letter-winner in cross country, a member of the National Honor Society, student council French club, Link Crew and is the District 10 Vice President. Allgood is also an honor roll student and plans on studying sport management at Temple.
Jillian is an impressive student-athlete who we're looking forward to welcoming to North Broad. She's played at a high level through her club career, and we think she will add to our group both in play and in character.Head Coach Nick Bochette

Kyla Burns | Goalkeeper | Ruby, N.Y. | Kingston HS | Albany Alleycats
Kyla Burns will come to North Broad from Ruby, N.Y., where she attends Kingston High School and plays club for the Albany Alleycats. Burns was four-year starter in goal for Kingston and her efforts earned a varsity letter each year. In her junior and senior campaigns, she was named to the All-State Second Team, Section 9 All-Section First Team and the Section 9 Class AA All-Star Team. In her career with the Alleycats, Burns' team was ENY State Cup and EDP Cup champions. She also was on the international roster for the ODP Region 1 team. Burns is a member of the National Honor Society, is an honor roll student and is an All-State pianist and saxophonist. She plans on studying speech, language and hearing science at Temple.
We are thrilled to welcome another goalkeeper of Kyla's caliber. I've gotten the chance to watch her develop as a youth player over the past few years, and she has all the tools to continue to develop into a top collegiate goalkeeper in the coming months and years.Head Coach Nick Bochette

Teri Jackson | Forward | North Plainfield, N.J. | Syracuse/Immaculata HS | Matchfit ECNL
Teri Jackson comes to Temple as a sophomore transfer from Syracuse University. As a freshman at Syracuse in 2019, she played in nine games while recording an assist against Clemson. Prior to Syracuse, she played four years at Immaculata High, earning team MVP and All-Skyland Conference nods in 2017. She also played club ball for two years with Matchfit ECNL.
Teri is a dynamic attacking player who brings with her ACC experience. She'll add to our attacking group and provide additional width capabilities.Head Coach Nick Bochette

Brooke Kane | Defense | Philadelphia, Pa. | Nazareth Academy HS | FC Bucks 2002 ECNL
Brooke Kane, a Philadelphia native, attends Nazareth Academy High School and plays club for FC Bucks 2002 ECNL. In her career at Nazareth Academy, Kane scored 18 goals and notched 34 assists as a defender. She was a four-year starter and captained the squad as senior. Kane earned All-Catholic Academic League honors three years straight, and was named to the Second Team as a junior and First Team as a senior. In addition to playing soccer for Nazareth, she was a four-year letter-winner in lacrosse and a three-year letter-winner in basketball. As a member of FC Bucks 2002 ECNL, Kane earned the TopDrawer Soccer ECNL Standout Award at ECNL Texas Showcase and her team was the 2018 ODP Region 1 champions. She is a member of the National Honor Society, a volunteer with Special Olympics and plans on studying health professions at Temple.
Brooke is a top local talent who can play multiple positions in attack. Her versatility and knowledge of the game will transition well into the college game.Head Coach Nick Bochette

Emily Kavanaugh | Forward | South Riding, Va. | UIC/Paul VI catholic HS | FC Virginia ECNL
Emily Kavanaugh arrives at Temple after playing two seasons at the University of Illinois-Chicago. At IUC, she played in 38 matches over two seasons, scoring eight goals and dishing out five assists. She earned Second Team All-Horizon League honors in 2018 when she scored five goals and made three assists to become the first freshman to lead the program in both categories. She earned All-Conference and All-Region recognition as the team captain her senior season at Paul VI and also competed for FC Virginia ECNL … four-time State Cup Champions.
Emily is an exciting, versatile, and dangerous player that has already found a great deal of success at the college level. Her maturity and mentality only add to her quality, and we're confident Emily will influence our play meaningfully.Head Coach Nick Bochette

Kamryn Stablein | Goalkeeper | Orwigsburg, Pa. | University of Delaware/Blue Mountain HS | FC PA Strikers
Kamryn Stablein comes to Philadelphia as a junior transfer from the University of Delaware. During her freshman and sophomore seasons as a goalkeeper for Blue Hens, she recorded a 1.26 GAA and 0.77 save percentage. She notched 10 shutouts and started 32 of 33 games in her two seasons. Stablein was named to the All-CAA Second Team as a sophomore. Before Delaware, she played club for the FC Pennsylvania Strikers, winning the state title three times. Stablein plans on studying psychology at Temple.
Kam is a first-rate goalkeeper who has two successful years of college soccer under her belt. She's a relentless worker and a professional in how she approaches the game. She'll be an important new personality for our team.Head Coach Nick Bochette

Taylor Vecchione | Goalkeeper | Foxboro, Mass. | Choate Rosemary Hall (Conn.) | Bayside FC NPL
Taylor Vecchione is a multi-sport athlete who accumulated five varsity letters in soccer, as well as earning four in ice hockey and track at La Salle Academy. She played her fifth year of soccer at Choate Rosemary Hall where she earned Western New England All Star honors, compiling an 11-1-5 record with a 0.64 goals against average. She also played club ball with Bayside FC NPL, helping her team to consecutive Rhode Island Club State Championships in 2018 & 2019.
Taylor is the most recent addition to a quality group of goalkeepers we are welcoming to our team. She possesses great quickness and shot stopping ability, and someone we really look forward to continuing her development at the next level.Head Coach Nick Bochette
