5.28.20 | General
PHILADELPHIA – The National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) announced this week that the Temple University Athletics Marketing Department won an award for their "Meme Night" event attendance promotion at a Temple men's basketball game in January.Â
"It's always an honor to be recognized by your peers," said Scott Walcoff, Senior Associate AD of External Operations for Temple Athletics. "This award is a true testament to the hardworking, creative staff we have in the Athletic Department. Assistant AD of Marketing and Fan Engagement Karli Hausman, Assistant AD of Branding/Digital Strategy Katie Hewitt, and their respective teams all worked collaboratively to put together an entertaining night for our fans. The men's basketball team embracing the promotion was fantastic, too. We look forward to providing our fans with additional creative initiatives in the future."
Â
Initiated in 2003, the NACMA Best of Awards program honors outstanding achievement in marketing and promotions. Awards are presented in 16 categories, with each category divided into three groups based upon school size and conference affiliations to promote fairness. In 2019-20, approximately 900 entries were submitted through the NACMA community.Â
