1.22.21 | Men's Soccer
PHILADELPHIA - The Temple men's soccer team announced today its 2020-21 schedule. The abbreviated slate will feature one non-conference contest, and a double round-robin American Athletic Conference regular season schedule.
The Owls, which finished a strong 2019 campaign with an 8-8-2 overall record, begin their season on Feb. 6 when they will travel to Tampa to face the USF Bulls. The Owls will then host the 2019 regular season American Athletic Conference champion UCF Knights (Feb. 13).
Temple then hits the road again for the first of two matchups against Memphis (Feb. 20). Last season the Cherry and White twice defeated the Tigers in overtime.
The Owls will then host Philadelphia Soccer Six rival Drexel on Feb. 24 to kick off a three-game homestand. The Dragons are the only non-conference opponent Temple will face this season. The Cherry and White will resume conference play with a rematch against USF (Feb. 27).
One-week later Temple will take on the defending conference champion SMU (Mar. 6). Last season the Mustangs defeated the Owls in overtime on the way to an elite eight NCAA tournament run.
The Cherry and White then begin a two-game road stretch with games at Tulsa (Mar. 13) and UCF (Mar. 20).
Memphis will open a two-game homestand for Temple on Mar. 27 with Tulsa completing on April 2.
For the third season in a row the Owls will end the season facing off against SMU (Apr. 9). Unlike last season however, this time the Mustangs will host the game in Dallas.
