PHILADELPHIA – The Temple men's soccer team fell to the USF Bulls (3-6-1, 1-4-0 AAC) 3-0 Saturday night. With the loss Temple is now 2-6-2 on the season, and 0-5-0 in American Athletic Conference play.
How it Happened
> Temple's Mike Eijgendaal nearly scored in the 8th minute. The forward picked off a clear attempt by the Bulls and fired a laser from the right side of the box that nearly beat the USF keeper, but the shot was narrowly saved.
> USF got on the board in the 13th minute.
> Only two minutes later, Amir Cohen pounded the ball for a chance from the top of the box, forcing the keeper to make a diving stop.
> The Bulls scored once more late in the first to take a 2-0 lead into the break.
> USF found the back of the net again in the 51st minute (3-0).
> Cummings made an impressive save off a USF free kick. The Bulls launched the ball from far beyond the box. The shot curved downwards and was looking to sneak under the crossbar, but the keeper reacted perfectly to tip the ball out and prevent the score.
> Chaim Roserie had a strong chance late for the Owls. After receiving a pass from Jalen Campbell on the wing, the Ontario native drove to the middle of the field and ripped a shot that seemed ticketed for the back of the net, but was saved by the USF keeper.
> USF took the match by a final tally of 3-0.

> Aly Camara set a new season-high with 38 minutes played.
> Six yellow and one red card were issued in this match. Four yellows and the red were pulled on the Owls. USF received two yellows.
