Michelle Joyce Punches Ticket to the NCAA Cross Country Championships
11.13.21 | Women's Cross Country
PHILADELPHIA- Michelle Joyce of the women's cross country team has punched her ticket to NCAA Championships next weekend in Tallahassee, Fla.
Joyce has been the anchor for the Owls all season long, finishing as the leading runner for Temple in five of their six races this season. Her third-place finish at the AAC Championships is the second-best finish in program history only behind Blanca Fernandez who won in 2016. Her All-Conference honors four years in a row makes her the most decorated cross country runner in program history.
"I couldn't be more proud of Michelle. Qualifying for NCAAs for the first time as a 5th year senior is incredibly special. Her patience, persistence and commitment to our program has never wavered and for that I'll always be grateful. I know she's excited for this opportunity and will look forward to representing Temple in Tallahassee, Florida on Saturday" said Head Coach James Snyder.
The NCAA Women's Championships Final will take place Saturday, Nov. 20 at 10:20 a.m. You can watch the action beginning at 10:00 a.m. on ESPNU & the ESPN App.
