Football Defeated by Navy in Season Finale, 38-14

How It Happened
First Quarter
Temple won the toss and chose to kickoff. Navy started with the ball in great field position after a free kick out of bounds, but Temple's defense forced a quick three-and-out. The teams traded punts on each of their first two possessions. Navy began its next drive in Temple territory thanks to a great punt return by SB Chance Warren. The Midshipmen were able to punch it in to the endzone after an 11-yard rush by SB Carlinos Acie to make it 7-0.
Second Quarter
On Navy's opening drive of the second quarter, QB Xavier Arline found Warren for a 15-yard touchdown to make it 14-0. After an Adam Barry punt pinned Navy inside the 20, DE Layton Jordan forced a fumble, and SAF Alex Odom recovered it at the Navy 1 yard line. On the ensuing Temple play, senior RB Ra'Von Bonner ran it in to make it 14-7. The teams exchanged punts until Temple muffed a punt inside its own 10-yard line that was recovered by Navy. The short field for Navy resulted in a 32-yard field goal by Bijan Nichols to make it 17-7.
Third Quarter
Temple began the second half with the ball. On the opening drive for Temple, Barry punted 40 yards to the Navy side of the field. A long 11-play drive for Navy was capped off by a touchdown run by FB Isaac Ruoss to make it 24-7. Temple responded with a long drive of its own that lasted 12:05, the Owls' longest drive of the season, and resulted in a rushing touchdown by senior RB Tayvon Ruley to make it 24-14.
Fourth Quarter
On the following Navy drive, Ruoss scored his second touchdown of the game to make it 31-14. On the next Temple drive, the Owls fumbled the ball, and it was recovered by Navy. The Midshipmen scored again to make it 38-14. Temple fumbled again, and Navy recovered to end the game.
