Football's Perez Named All-AAC

12.1.21 | Football

PHILADELPHIA – The American Athletic Conference today announced its All-Conference team which included Temple center C.J. Perez. The senior from Shawnee, Kansas, received honorable mention.

Perez started all 12 games for the Owls in 2021 and, in fact, started all 19 games for the Owls since transferring from NIU in 2020. An ironman in the trenches, he holds the longest active streak on the team of games started. Perez made the line calls and adjustments for three different freshman quarterbacks and was a constant on the offensive line that saw six different starting combinations over 12 games in 2021.

Perez joins Kyle Friend (2014-15) and Matt Hennessy (2017-19) as Temple centers who have earned All-AAC recognition since the conferences' inception in 2013.
