Brooke Donabedian Named EAGL Freshman of the Week

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple gymnast Brooke Donabedian was named the EAGL Freshman of the Week on Tuesday, after an outstanding meet on Sunday. This is the second career EAGL honor for Donabedian.
Competing two events, the Maple Valley, Wash. native matched or exceeded her career high on both, as Temple tallied its highest team score of the season, and the fifth highest in program history.
With pressure mounting following a fall in the second spot on beam, Donabedian delivered a career-high tying 9.825 to get the Owls back on track in the rotation. She ended her night by recording a career high 9.875 on floor, helping Temple to post a program-record tying 49.300 on the event.
Temple is back in action on Saturday in Raleigh, N.C., taking on host NC State, as well as UNC, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
