Women's Tennis Takes On Villanova this Tuesday

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple women's tennis hopes to continue its win streak as the Owls prepare to host city foe Villanova on Tuesday, Mar. 23. The Owls will begin play at 10 a.m. at TU Pavilion.
The Owls
> Last time out, Temple defeated Towson, 6-1, lifting its record to 3-1.
> Temple earned the doubles point, sweeping the Tigers in all three matches.
> The Owls went on to win five singles flights to secure the win.
> Oleksandra Doroshenko and Vineetha Mummadi remain undefeated in singles action this season.
Scouting Villanova
> Villanova women's tennis is led by head coach Steve Reiniger. The team currently holds a 1-1 record for the 2020-21 season.
> The Wildcats opened with a loss against University of Delaware, 3-4, before a five week break between competition.
> In their return to action, the team bounced back with a win over Lehigh, 6-1. The women claimed the doubles point, sweeping Lehigh in all three matches, before going on to win five of the six singles flights.
