Men’s Cross Country Places Fourth at FSU Last Chance Meet

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Temple men's cross country team finished fourth at the FSU XC Last Chance Meet on Friday morning at Apalachee Regional Park.
About the FSU XC Last Chance Meet
> The Owls finished fourth out of a field of five teams as they recorded 117 points in the 8K race.
> Syracuse finished first with 31 points followed by Michigan (42) and Florida State (49). USF rounded out the results with their fifth-place finish and 153 points.
Race Notes
> Senior Kristian Jense was the first Owl to cross the finish line at 24:36.1 for 20th place.
> Freshman Christian Fitch earned the 27th spot with his time of 25:15.5.
> The remainder of the Cherry and White finished tightly packed together with Ethan Koza at 31 followed by Jeppe Risvig (33), Tyler Fauvelle (34), Sean Egan (36), Jimmy Koel (37), Erik Kain (39) and Josh Christianson (41).

> "Today was a good opportunity for our guys to get a chance to see what the next step needs to look like," commented head coach James Snyder.
> "To see where we want to go, we need to see where we stack up. I think today was disappointing as far as how we competed but at the same time it's encouraging for where we can go."
> "It was a chance for our younger guys to see this level of competition and it provides motivation as we continue into our spring and summer training months."
