GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Temple lacrosse team (12-5, 7-3 AAC) fell 19-4 to No. 7/8 Florida (16-2, 10-0 AAC) 19-4 in the American Athletic Conference championship Saturday afternoon. Despite the loss, this marks the highest finish Temple has had in postseason play since the 2016 season. Bridget Whitaker, Belle Mastropietro, Katie Shallow, and Charessa Crosse were named to the All-Tournament team.

Recapping the Game
> Goalkeeper Shana Hecht saved four of the first five shots, but Florida scored five goals unanswered.
> Midfielders Whitaker and Mastropietro scored a pair of goals to trim the lead down to three.
> The Gators scored the next six to take an 11-2 lead into the half.
> Senior Goalkeeper Olivia Martin saved the first three shots of the second half.
> Sophomore Mackenize Roth buried a goal in the back of the net to cut into the Florida lead.
> Florida scored the next four goals to extend the lead to double digits (13-3).
> Mastropietro scored her second of the match on a free position opportunity with 18:25 remaining.
> Florida found the back of the net for the final five goals to set the final score at 19-4.
